The Unhas Faculty of Nursing held a meeting with Kaikoukai Health Care Group, Nagoya in Japan on Wednesday (22/11), attended by (Mr. Abe Kazuya) Division Manager of International Medical Division Kaikoukai Healthcare Group and (Moriyama Yoshifumi) General Manager Exercise Therapy for Dialysis Patients Management.
Also present were the Dean of F.Kep Unhas (Prof. Dr. Ariyanti Saleh, S.Kp., M.Si), the Head of the Unhas International Office (Andi. Masyitha Irwan, S.Kep., Ns., MN.) and the Deputy Dean for Affairs Academic and Student Affairs F.Kep (Syahrul Said, S.Kep., Ns., Ph.D.)

The purpose of this meeting was to follow up on discussions on the visit of the Kaikoukai Health Care Group Team to the Makassar Nursing Faculty, where the establishment of a training center for caregivers was the main focus. This training center is expected to be established in 2024, as preparatory training for participants who will be tested to become Caregivers in Japan. The Unhas Faculty of Nursing and the Kaikoukai Health Care Group will collaborate in preparing the curriculum and other preparations within 6 months. It is hoped that this training center can prepare themselves in terms of language and skills, both Unhas nursing alumni and nursing alumni from other institutions to be able to work as caregivers in Japan.
Additional collaborations were also discussed at the meeting. Every semester, Moriyama Yoshifumi, who is an Adjunct Professor from the Kaikoukai Health Care Group, will give lectures at the Faculty of Nursing, Unhas. Apart from that, an expert member of the Kaikoukai Health Care Group who is also the Head of the Nursing Department will give a lecture in the Nursing Field in early February 2024.
