F.Kep Unhas successfully participated in the Online Global Health Program 2024 organized by Yokohama City University, Japan, on Thursday, (08/08). This program is a collaboration between the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University and the Department of Nursing, Yokohama City University. This program is implemented online and aims to improve understanding and collaboration between the two institutions in the field of global health.
In the first session, there was an in-depth presentation on daily life and nursing education in Japan and Indonesia. Students from Yokohama City University presented the topic Introduction of Japan and Introduction of Daily Life of Students and Nursing Education in YCU. Conversely, students from Hasanuddin University presented Introduction of Indonesia and Introduction of Daily Life of Students and Nursing in Hasanuddin University. This exchange of information provided valuable insights into the differences and similarities in education and the lives of nursing students in both countries.
In addition to presentations, the program also featured mini lectures from lecturers from Hasanuddin University and Tokyo University. Prof. Nakagami Gojiro gave a lecture on Diabetes and Foot Care, while Dr. Andina Setyawati, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep presented the topic of Herbal Approach in Preventing Diabetes. This short lecture provided valuable new knowledge for the participants. The program also included an interactive discussion session between nursing students from both universities, strengthening academic relationships and opening up opportunities for future collaboration.
