The Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University, held a student exchange program for Southeast Asia called the Collaborative Health Science Exchange Program for Southeast Asia (CHEP-SEA) which will take place from 11 to 15 November 2024. The opening took place on Monday, (11/11) at the Unhas Science and Technology Building at 08.30 WITA. In addition to Unhas students, this activity was attended by student participants and lecturers from three countries, namely Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) Malaysia, Christian University of Thailand (CUT) Thailand, and Hai Duong Medical Technical University Vietnam. Also present at the opening were the Rector of Hasanuddin University (Prof. Jamaluddin Jompa), Dean, Faculty of Nursing, Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Faculty of Nursing, and Lecturers from the Faculty of Nursing. Dean of F.Kep (Prof. Ariyanti) in her speech said that the CHEP-SEA activity is an initiative of F.Kep in supporting Unhas’ commitment to become a world class university “The CHEP-SEA activity is part of the commitment to advance Unhas in a world class university, through this exchange program designed to encourage collaboration from various knowledge between students in the field of health sciences” she explained.
On the same occasion, the Rector of Unhas (Prof. Jamaluddin Jompa) officially opened the activity and gave a speech saying that “The young generation has a responsibility in developing the system in the future, with the strengthening of implementation through student exchange and internship and building a good environment. With this activity is a good way to support the development of the system, especially in the primary health system and challenging care systems” she explained.
With this activity, various knowledge and skills in the health sector are needed to be able to help each other, currently it is a momentum to support the development of the existing health system as well as a form of concern for the health of the surrounding community.
During the activity, participants will study important topics related to the health and care system in Indonesia, wound care, make visits and learn about Indonesian culture.
