The Nursing Profession Study Program held an OSCE Examination attended by 83 Nursing Profession Study Program Students on January 13-16, 2025 at 08.00 WITA at the OSCE Center Building, Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University. A number of Faculty of Nursing Lecturers were involved as examiners in the implementation of the activity.
The OSCE exam is conducted to assess the practical skills of a nurse in providing care to patients, as well as to test clinical abilities in a more objective and structured manner.
This activity runs for 4 days with a total of 8 sessions, before the OSCE takes place, students will be quarantined and will be briefed by the lecturer, then a briefing will be held with the examining lecturers involved and the division of stations based on knowledge as well as the signing of an integrity pact related to the OSCE test.
The benefits of this OSCE Exam are as a very effective evaluation to ensure that Nursing Profession students are ready to carry out Nursing duties with high competence by having excellent clinical abilities.
