
The Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University held a General Lecture presenting speakers from the Faculty of Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care (NMPC) King’s College London on Thursday, (05/06) at the Arsyad Rasyid Building, Hasanuddin University. Attended by the Dean (Prof. Dr. Ariyanti Saleh, S.Kp., M.Si) accompanied by the Vice Deans, Head of the International Affairs Office (Andi Masyitha Irwan, S.Kep.Ns., MAN., Ph.D.).
The Dean (Prof. Dr. Ariyanti Saleh, S.Kp., M.Si) in her speech which also opened the event said that “This meeting is a valuable opportunity to strengthen networks, explore the possibility of interdisciplinary collaboration, and encourage continuing education for lecturers and students. We hope that today’s event can be a foundation for the Faculty of Nursing to establish broader partnerships,” she explained. This step is in line with the Faculty of Nursing’s efforts to continue to expand its network and increase contributions at the international level. The speakers in the activity
- Dr. Julia Philippou (Interim Vice Dean (International) & Reader in Nursing Education) with the topic Empowering the Nursing Workforce through Education, Connection, Global Collaboration.
- Dr. Mary Leamy BSc, MSc, PhD (Associate Dean (Post Graduate Research Studies) Senior Lecture in Mental Health) with the topic Mental Health Recovery and Recovery College.
This activity is an initial opportunity for the Faculty of Nursing to expand the international collaboration network in the fields of nursing and physiotherapy, which is expected to provide a positive contribution to Hasanuddin University and society in general. In addition, this activity also opens up opportunities to explore various collaborations, such as joint research between lecturers and further studies for lecturers and students.
