The 2025 inauguration of the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University, was held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, with the theme “The Art of Fighting Silence: When Light Seeps into Closed Spaces.” This event served as a welcoming moment and affirmation of identity for the new students of the Class of 2025. Organized by the 2025 FKep Unhas New Students and the Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University.
The inauguration was attended by the Director of Student Affairs, Abdullah Sanusi, SE. MBA., Ph.D.; the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Prof. Dr. Elly Lilianty Sjattar, S.Kp., M.Kes.; and the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Syahrul, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kes., Ph.D. The leaders expressed their full appreciation for the committee’s readiness, the smooth implementation of the event, and the students’ creativity in presenting a meaningful and reflective event.
The opening remarks were delivered by the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Syahrul, S.Kep.,Ns.,M.Kes.,Ph.D., who stated that “This inauguration is part of the final phase of new student mentoring and is conducted in an integrated and organized manner, thus serving as a reference in line with the new students’ academic process.”
This was followed by remarks from the Dean, Prof. Dr. Elly L. Sjattar, S.Kp.,M.Kes., who expressed her appreciation for the preparations. “This event serves as a welcoming moment for the Class of 2025 and provides a platform for student expression and creativity,” she explained.
The event was officially opened by the Director of Student Affairs, Unhas, Abdullah Sanusi, SE. MBA.,Ph.D. He stated, “The implementation of this activity demonstrates the accelerated adaptation process of students and the Faculty of Kep student body, and also serves as motivation to continue strengthening the role, creativity, and positive contributions of students in supporting a dynamic and sustainable academic climate.” At this inauguration, the name SA2TORIU5 was introduced, inspired by the sartorius muscle, the longest muscle in the human body. This philosophy reflects the spirit of not being confined to narrow specializations and standardized competencies, and encourages students to have a broader perspective in their educational journey. The values emphasize the importance of awareness, reflection, and freedom of thought as part of the character development of academics.
Overall, the 2025 Inauguration of the Faculty of Kep Unhas 2025 went smoothly and successfully. This activity is expected to be a starting point for new students to build togetherness, foster a spirit of learning, and develop an active role in academic and student life at Faculty of Kep Unhas.
