The OSCE Question Review Workshop for Nursing Professional Students of the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University, took place on Thursday (January 8th) in the KP Room. It was attended by the Dean, Prof. Dr. L. Sjattar, S.Kp., M.Kes., Vice Deans, Lecturers, and Preceptors from Hasanuddin University Hospital and Wahidin Sudirohusodo Hospital.
The workshop began with remarks from the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs and Acting Head of the Nursing Study Program, Syahrul, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kes., Ph.D., who stated, “This activity serves as an evaluation of the previous OSCE implementation to review issues with existing questions and increase the number of questions relevant to the learning outcomes of nursing professional students.”
This activity is part of an effort to improve the quality of OSCE implementation by reviewing questions that need improvement and adding more questions. This is expected to make the instrument used more relevant, comprehensive, and aligned with the learning outcomes of nursing professional students. The Dean, Prof. Dr. L. Sjattar, S.Kp., M.Kes, continued with remarks. He stated, “It is hoped that this activity will provide updates to the previously used questions, thereby increasing their variety. Furthermore, field preceptors play a crucial role in providing input on emerging issues in the hospital.”
Through this activity, it is hoped that OSCE questions will be more up-to-date, relevant, and aligned with practical needs. This workshop also serves as a forum for collaboration between lecturers and field preceptors in maintaining the quality of nursing professional learning evaluations and supporting a more standardized and sustainable OSCE implementation going forward.
