Prof., Dr., M.Si., BSN

Ariyanti graduated from University of Indonesia for her undergraduate study (BSN) and from Hasanuddin University for her post-graduate studies. Ariyanti has played a wide range of leadership roles in nursing for more than a decade, both academically and non-academically. At Hasanuddin University, she previously served as the head of Bachelor of Science in Nursing leading to Professional Nurse (BSN-PN) and Master of Nursing (MN) study programs. She is also serving as a member of the university’s academic senate.

Her professional endeavours and achievements blend her proficiency and leadership in mental health nursing and education. These two facets synergize to shape her research interests, which revolve around healthcare workforce development (preparation for practice and transition to practice) and enhancing the patient experience within the mental health nursing domain.

She has produced several journal articles in peer-reviewed journals and also books related to her expertise. Currently, she is involved in several research and community service projects including Joint- research with Yokohama City University and the Kaikoukai Health Care Group from Japan.

In 2022, Ariyanti received The Satya Lencana Award for 20 Years of Service by the President of the Republic of Indonesia for her services as civil servant. She was also awarded The "Ners Award" for Nursing Education by the Indonesian National Nurses Association (PPNI) Regional Board of South Sulawesi in 2019 on the 45th anniversary of PPNI for the outstanding contribution and commitment to the leadership in the profession of nursing.
