Ns. Aulia Insani Latif, S.Kep., M.Kep., a lecturer from the Faculty of Nursing at Hasanuddin University, delivered a guest lecture on Nursing Care in Indonesia at the 2026 Sakura Science Exchange Program, where she also served as a student mentor for the program at Yokohama City University, Japan. The event took place on January 14, 2026, and was attended by YCU students.
The guest lecture was held in the International Nursing II class and was attended by approximately 100 nursing students and several YCU lecturers. This activity supported academic exchange and strengthened collaboration between Hasanuddin University and YCU.
During the session, the lecture discussed the nursing care system and nursing education in Indonesia, including current challenges and future opportunities in nursing practice. The lecture was followed by an interactive discussion and a question-and-answer session.
The discussion focused on the similarities and differences in nursing practice between Indonesia and Japan, the development of nursing competencies in a global context, and opportunities for academic and research collaboration. Participants demonstrated great interest and actively engaged in the discussion.
