The Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University, held a Curriculum Alignment Workshop for the Midwifery Professional Education Study Program as part of preparations for the opening of the Midwifery Study Program within the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University. The event took place on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, in the Senate Room of the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University.
The workshop was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Elly Lilianty Sjattar, S.Kp., M.Kes., the Vice Deans, the Head of the Quality Assurance Group (GPM), and the Midwifery Taskforce Team. The presence of the leaders and the study program development team demonstrated the faculty’s commitment to providing a quality midwifery education program that aligns with higher education standards based on Outcome-Based Education (OBE).
In his remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University, stated that curriculum alignment is a crucial step in ensuring the academic readiness and governance of the new study program, ensuring it produces competent, professional, and adaptable graduates to the needs of healthcare services.
The event featured two speakers who discussed OBE-based curriculum development. The Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs of the Faculty of Nursing at Hasanuddin University, Syahrul, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kes., Ph.D., presented material on the Outcome-Based Education (OBE) curriculum at Hasanuddin University. The material emphasized the importance of developing measurable, relevant, and aligned graduate learning outcomes that align with the institution’s vision and the needs of the workplace.
Meanwhile, Dr. Amriani, S.ST., M.Kes., M.Keb., presented material related to the implementation of the OBE Curriculum in Midwifery Education. This presentation covered strategies for developing curriculum structure, integrating practical and clinical learning, and strengthening midwifery professional competencies in accordance with national midwifery education standards.
This workshop is expected to optimize the process of developing and aligning the curriculum for the Midwifery Professional Education Study Program, thus supporting the readiness for the opening of the Midwifery Study Program at the Faculty of Nursing at Hasanuddin University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
