The Faculty of Nursing (FKep) at Hasanuddin University (Unhas) hosted a visit from the assessor team of the Independent Accreditation Agency for Higher Education in Health (LAM-PTKes) for the field assessment regarding the minimum accreditation for the proposed Doctoral (S3) Program in Nursing Science. The opening ceremony took place in the FKep Unhas Senate Room at the Tamalanrea Campus, Makassar, on Wednesday (September 2).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The LAM-PTKes assessor team conducting the field assessment consisted of Prof. Kusman Ibrahim, S.Kp., MNS., Ph.D., and Prof. Dr. Tintin Sukartini, S.Kp., M.Kes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was attended by the Head of the Unhas Institute for Quality Assurance and Educational Development (LPMPP), Prof. Rini Rachmawaty, S.Kep., Ns., MN., Ph.D., representing the Unhas Rector; the Dean of FKep Unhas, Prof. Dr. Elly Lilianty Sjattar, S.Kp., M.Kes.; Vice Deans; the Chair of the FKep Unhas Senate; the Chair and Secretary of the Quality Assurance and Reputation Enhancement Group (GPMPR); Heads of Study Programs; faculty members; and the FKep Unhas academic community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In her remarks, the Dean of FKep Unhas, Prof. Dr. Elly Lilianty Sjattar, S.Kp., M.Kes., expressed her appreciation and gratitude for the assessor team’s visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We view this visitation as a crucial moment to gain guidance and the best recommendations from the assessor team, serving as a foundation for ensuring the quality and readiness of the Doctoral Program in Nursing Science. We sincerely hope that this entire field assessment process proceeds smoothly and yields optimal results as we all desire to strengthen advanced nursing education at Hasanuddin University,” explained Prof. Elly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was officially opened by the Head of LPMPP Unhas, Prof. Rini Rachmawaty, S.Kep., Ns., MN., Ph.D. In her remarks, she noted that although the Faculty of Nursing at Unhas (FKep Unhas) is a relatively young faculty established in 2017 as the university’s 16th faculty it has demonstrated readiness and sound governance in supporting the implementation of various programs and its own institutional development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cRegarding readiness, having gone through the requisite stages and processes, we observe that FKep Unhas possesses a strong foundation for continued growth in terms of human resources and governance. Unhas remains committed to providing ongoing support both through funding and human resource strengthening to ensure the faculty’s development proceeds effectively,\u201d emphasized Prof. Rini.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the site visit, the assessor team evaluated various academic documents and educational facilities, and held discussions with study program administrators and stakeholders. This accreditation visit is scheduled to continue until Thursday, September 3, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
