In commemoration of National Children’s Day 23 July 2020, the Faculty of Nursing UNHAS in collaboration with the Indonesian Child Nurses Association (IPANI) in the South Sulawesi region carried out social service activities, which were focused on victims of natural disasters in Masamba, North Luwu Regency on Saturday and Sunday, 29-30 August 2020.
\nThe activities carried out were in the form of providing assistance in the form of staple food and milk for children who were in dire need of those evacuations as well as trauma healing through storytelling to post-disaster children.
\nThis activity was focused on 2 existing evacuation points, namely in Tampal and Petambua with the target of children totalling approximately 100 children.
\nAlso attending this activity, Vice Dean 2 of Nursing Faculty of UNHAS Mrs. Dr. Kadek Ayu Erika, S.Kep., Ns., Who is also the head of IPANI South Sulawesi. Abd.Rahmat, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kes as the head of the South Sulawesi PPNI, and Dewi Rosiana Saputri, S.Kep., Ns., The chairman of the North Luwu PPNI DPD, along with several administrators and members of IPANI South Sulawesi.
\n“We carry out routine National Children’s Day commemoration every year, but on this occasion, we focus on disaster victims, given that they still need many things, especially children. God willing, similar activities will continue and be sustainable,\u201d said Ns. Kadek.
