The Faculty of Nursing Hosts Activities The 2nd Global Youth Mental Health Innovation Project (GYMHIP) 2023

The Global Youth Mental Health Innovation Project (GYMHIP) is an international activity organized by the Faculty of Nursing. The Chancellor of Hasanuddin University (Prof. Dr. Ir. Jamaluddin Jompa, M.Sc) officially opened the activity attended by the Deputy Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs (Prof. drg. Muhammad Ruslin, M.Kes., Ph.D., Sp.BM ( K), Dean of the Faculty of Nursing (Prof. Dr. Ariyanti Saleh, S.Kp., M.Sc), Deputy Deans of F.Kep, 58 Participants and 17 Advisors from 3 Countries Indonesia, the Philippines and Thailand. The opening of this activity took place online on Saturday (24/06) via Zoom Meeting at 10.00-12.00 WITA.

The Dean of the Faculty of Nursing Unhas supported this activity to achieve Unhas’ goals towards a World Class University through the Global Mental Health Innovation Project.

“The Faculty of Nursing will be actively involved in achieving World Class University progress through this activity by improving the quality of Inbound Lecturers and Students and increasing partner collaboration with foreign institutions in implementing activities in the fields of Education and Research” explained Prof. Ariyanti (24/06).

In his remarks the Chancellor of Hasanuddin University supports this activity to build understanding of the younger generation in strengthening mental health and hopes that participants from various cultural backgrounds and different languages can discuss each other’s mental health experiences.

“This activity is a way for the younger generation to understand and know more about mental health actions. In the future, participants from various educational, cultural and linguistic backgrounds can share more deeply with each other regarding Mental Health. And this activity is a presentation for the nursing profession to create a society that respects and understands mental health for the future, “explained Prof. Jamaluddin Jompa (24/06).

Getting various supports to carry out the activities of the Faculty of Nursing will continue to improve the quality of students and lecturers in educational and research activities not only in the field of Mental Health but in various other aspects of nursing. The opening activity continued until 12.00 WITA which was guided by MC Faculty of Nursing Lecturer Framita Rahman, S.Kep., Ns., M.Sc. (24/06).
