The Clinical Competency Evaluation Workshop for the Nursing Science Study Program (PSIK) and the Nursing Profession Study Program (PSPN) took place on Thursday, January 22nd, in the Senate Room of the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University. The event was attended by the Dean, Vice Deans, Heads of Study Programs, and Lecturers.
The Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Prof. Dr. Elly L. Sjattar, S.Kp., M.Kes., stated in her remarks that “given the changes and challenges facing quality, this evaluation activity is a strategic effort to review and improve the quality of clinical competency implementation to ensure it remains relevant to the needs of nursing education and services.”
This activity discussed the realm of nursing clinical competency and its relationship to the educational process at the Bachelor of Nursing and Nursing Profession levels in Indonesia. Through discussion forums, the clinical competencies and skills that students must achieve at both levels of education in the PSIK and PSPN of the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University.
This activity is expected to foster a shared understanding and a shared commitment to improving the quality of clinical competency. The results of discussions and evaluations become material for continuous improvement in the education process, so that they can support the realization of nursing graduates who are ready to face the needs of society and the challenges of health services.
