The Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University (FKep Unhas) held an ICON Journal Review Workshop: Strengthening Capacity Towards Scopus, featuring speakers from various perspectives, Prof. Ir. Andi Dirpan, S.TP., M.Sc., Ph.D. (Canrea Journal) and Ahsan Yunus, S.H., M.H. (Harlev Journal). This workshop took place on Saturday (November 8th) at the Mercure Hotel in Makassar.
The event was attended by the Vice Dean for Partnership, Research, Innovation, and Alumni, Dr. Takdir Tahir, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kes; the Vice Dean for Planning and Resources, Dr. Erfina, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep; the ICON Journal Editorial Team, and the Management Team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The opening remarks by the Vice Dean for Partnership, Research, Innovation, and Alumni, Dr. Takdir Tahir, conveyed that as one of the faculty’s strategic goals and steps to encourage the increase of internationally reputable scientific publications, the ICON Journal is a key element. He emphasized that achieving global indexing is part of the institution’s publication and reputation development goals.
“This activity is a crucial opportunity to strengthen the capacity of journal managers and authors, as well as to encourage the increase in internationally reputable publications. We hope that the journals we manage will meet Scopus quality standards, thereby contributing to improving the publication performance of faculties and universities,” he said.
Through this activity, the Faculty of Kep Unhas strives to maximize the role of the ICON Journal as a platform for increasing scientific publication capacity, so that acceleration towards Scopus indexing can be achieved in a more targeted and sustainable manner.
It is hoped that the commitment and collaboration of the entire research team will be crucial in driving improvements in publication quality and scientific contributions at the national and international levels. Thus, the path to global reputation will not only be an institutional goal but also become part of a continuously evolving academic culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
