The Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University, achieved a strategic milestone in the development of nursing education with the approaching opening of the Doctoral Program in Nursing, marked by the Academic Senate Commission I Meeting of Hasanuddin University on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, in Meeting Room A, 4th Floor, Hasanuddin University Rectorate Building.
The meeting proceeded smoothly and resulted in a significant decision: the proposal to open the Doctoral Program in Nursing received approval from the Hasanuddin University Academic Senate, which will then provide recommendations for the next stage. This decision marks a significant step forward for the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University, in providing a doctoral program focused on strengthening research, innovation, and developing nursing education.
Furthermore, the Doctoral Program in Nursing is expected to produce outstanding graduates as academics, researchers, leaders, and professional practitioners capable of making significant contributions to health development at the national and global levels.
The Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Elly L. Sjattar expressed her appreciation to the Task Force Team and the entire academic community for their hard work and collaboration during the preparation process. “Thank you and appreciation to the Task Force Team and the entire academic community for their hard work and togetherness in this preparation process. We still need to close ranks as we still have the assessment phase in the Board of Trustees (MWA) and the minimum accreditation requirements to go through together,” she explained.
The Faculty of Nursing Unhas is optimistic that the opening of the Doctoral Program in Nursing can be realized soon and become a new milestone for the advancement of nursing education in Eastern Indonesia and nationally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
