The Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University, held a Bachelor’s Oath and Professional Oath Ceremony for the June 2025\/2026 Academic Year on June 22nd in the Faculty of Forestry Hall. 217 graduates attended: 11 Physiotherapy and 5 Nursing graduates, 168 Nursing and 38 Physiotherapy graduates.
The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Prof. Dr. Elly L. Sjattar, S.Kp., M.Kes, the Vice Deans, the Secretary of the Indonesian Nurses Association (PPNI), Dr. H. Ismail, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kes, a representative of the Makassar City IFI, Hermansyah, S.ST.FT, Ftr., M.Tr.Adm.Kes, the Heads of Study Programs, parents\/guardians of graduates, and clergy.
In his remarks, the Dean, Prof. Dr. Elly L. Sjattar stated, “Graduates are expected to always uphold the good name of their alma mater wherever they are. Establish and maintain good relationships with lecturers and supervisors, as they will always be part of your professional journey. When entering the workforce and profession, demonstrate integrity, competence, and dedication in providing the best service to the community,” she explained.
PPNI Secretary, Dr. In his remarks, H. Ismail stated, “The professional oath is a crucial part of the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi) in producing competent graduates who are beneficial to Indonesian society. In carrying out their profession, every nurse must uphold ethics and morals to provide comfort and build patient trust. Furthermore, the development of science and innovation is also crucial to supporting quality healthcare services in the era of globalization,” he said.
At the same time, Hermansyah, a representative of the IFI Makassar City, stated, “We hope the graduates can play an active role in strengthening physiotherapy services, particularly in healthcare facilities in Makassar and Indonesia in general. Be part of the development and innovation in the field of physiotherapy, always uphold the good name of the profession, and continue to develop physiotherapy science so that they can make a real contribution to improving the quality of healthcare services in Indonesia,” he concluded.
The Bachelor’s Oath and Professional Oath are important moments for graduates who have completed their academic and professional education. This procession demonstrates the graduates’ commitment to consistently uphold ethics, integrity, and responsibility in carrying out their roles as professional healthcare workers.
In addition, graduates are also expected to continue developing knowledge, innovating, and providing quality health services to address the challenges and needs of society in this ever-evolving era.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
