The Nursing Management Scientific Group, Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University held Community Service in the form of a National Webinar. This activity was held in collaboration with the Regional Management Council (DPW) of the Indonesian National Nurses Association (PPNI) in the South Sulawesi region.
\nThe webinar with the theme “From Nurses to Nurses & Community: The Role of Nurses Managers and Implementers in Managing Covid-19 and Non-Covid-19 Patients during the Adaptation to New Habits”, took place at 08.00 WITA virtually through the zoom meeting application, Saturday (17\/10).
\nStarting the activity, the head of the committee, Rini Rachmawaty, S.Kep., Ns., Mn., PhD, explained that this activity was part of a series of activities for the 3rd Anniversary of the Faculty of Nursing Unhas. Initially, this activity was scheduled physically, but given the Covid-19 pandemic, the concept of service took place online.
\n“If it is carried out directly in communities or hospitals, it seems impossible, because we are still in a pandemic situation. However, we still develop the practice for the community, \u201dexplained Rini.
\nThe community service activity is conceptualized in the form of a webinar, together with nurses from several hospitals. The purpose of this activity is as a means of various information and experiences related to the management of Covid-19 and non-Covid patients. This can be a place to share experiences.
\n“Alhamdulillah, according to our data, there are 723 registered participants spread across 33 provinces and dominated by lecturers, students, health workers, and alumni,” continued Rini.
\nChairman of the DPW PPNI Sulsel Abdul Rakhmat, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kes., Expressed his appreciation for the commitment and dedication of the Faculty of Nursing Unhas which is an integral part in handling the Covid-19 pandemic.
\n“The Faculty of Nursing Unhas has produced reliable nurses who are committed and have integrity. We should appreciate this because nursing alumni have proven themselves to be an important part of the development of current care, “explained Rakhmat.
\nFurthermore, he also gave appreciation for the achievements of the Nursing Faculty of Hasanuddin University at the age of three, such as being accredited A BAN-PT, and ASIIN International Accreditation. This proves that there is a comprehensive management.
\nThe activity was officially opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing Unhas, Dr. Ariyanti Saleh, S.Kp., M.Si. In his remarks, he gave his appreciation for organizing the activity. According to him, this is a shared commitment and desire to improve the nurse profession better in the future.
\n“This activity is very strategic to improve the quality of quality and commitment as a noble profession to provide maximum health services to the community,” said Ariyanti.
\nAfter the official opening, the activity was continued with the presentation of material from the speakers presented. The activity is divided into three sessions and is scheduled to last until 18.00 WITA.
