The Master of Nursing Science Forum (FORMIK) of the Master of Nursing Science Study Program (PSMIK) at Hasanuddin University successfully held a webinar titled “Scoping Review Writing with Alumni: From Idea to Publication” on Thursday, May 14, 2026. This scientific event featured three speakers from the class of 2024, and was officially opened by the Head of the Master of Nursing Science Study Program at Hasanuddin University Makassar, Saldy Yusuf, S.Kep., Ns., MHS., Ph.D., ETN. In his remarks, he appreciated the contributions of the alumni who returned to share their knowledge and experiences with the academic community, while also emphasizing the importance of strengthening research and scientific publication capacity among students and healthcare professionals.
This webinar presented comprehensive material related to scoping review writing, from the initial stages to publication. The first speaker, Ns. Abd. Halim, S.Kep., M.Kep., presented on research topic determination and literature search strategies, which are essential foundations for developing a quality scoping review. Next, the second speaker, Ns. Selviana Anwar, S.Kep., M.Kep., presented on the screening process, article selection using supporting applications, and systematic data extraction and analysis techniques. The third speaker, Ns. A. Dian M. Yusran P., S.Tr.Kep., M.Kep., presented on the scientific publication process and the article review stages, which are key to getting research accepted into reputable journals.
This activity, initiated by FORMIK, received high enthusiasm, with 63 participants, including lecturers, students, nurses, and midwives. The webinar was also attended by the first Chair of FORMIK, Ns. Syaiful, who expressed his support for the sustainability of the forum’s scientific programs. Through this webinar, FORMIK, together with PSMIK Hasanuddin University Makassar, hopes to strengthen a productive academic culture, foster a spirit of scientific writing, and encourage the production of impactful nursing publications. The synergy between study programs, student organizations, and alumni is expected to continue as part of the effort to build a superior nursing research ecosystem at the national and international levels.
