Takdir Tahir has served in various leadership roles in nursing for more than a decade, both academically and non-academicly. At Hasanuddin University, he served as vice dean for partnerships, research and innovation, and also as a lecturer in medical surgical nursing and health ethics and law. He is also active in various health organizations and institutions, including the Indonesian Medical Surgical Nurses Association. Through his academic and organizational activities, Takdir seeks to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and health in society. Her professional efforts and accomplishments combine her expertise and leadership in the field of medical surgical nursing. These two aspects work together to form his research interests, which revolve around complementary nursing, traditional medicine, and management of wound healing. He has produced several journal articles in peer-reviewed journals as well as books related to his expertise. Among them, he received intellectual property rights related to the effect of red dragon fruit extract on healing acute DM wounds and Non-DM on Wistar and the use of topical cream on changes in epidermal growth factor and Collagen III Levels in Wound Healing in 2018. In 2020, Takdir received the Karya Satya Lencana 10 Years of Service Award by the President of the Republic of Indonesia for his service as a civil servant. He was also awarded the 2nd best Oral Presenter award by Indonesia Wound Ostomy Continence Nurses Association (In WOCNA) 2018 at The 5th Biennial Conference of In WOCNA.
