Syahrul Said is an accomplished academician who is currently serving as the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs at the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University. His teaching expertise is in the areas of community nursing, family nursing, and biostatistics. With a strong background in nursing education, Syahrul Said is dedicated to shaping the future of nursing professionals. His research interests primarily revolve around child nutrition and chronic illnesses. Through his academic pursuits, Syahrul Said seeks to contribute to the advancement of knowledge in these critical areas of healthcare. His commitment to enhancing the well-being of children and individuals facing chronic illnesses underscores his dedication to improving public health. Syahrul Said’s extensive experience, coupled with his passion for teaching and research, positions him as a valuable asset in the field of nursing and healthcare education.

Syahrul Said has expert-focused research experience, including the following notable projects such as the effectiveness of a mobile application-based self-care intervention in improving compliance in the treatment and self-management of pulmonary tuberculosis patients, which explored the effectiveness of a self-care intervention using a mobile application to improve patient compliance with tuberculosis treatment and self-management and likely aimed to enhance patient outcomes in tuberculosis management through innovative technology-driven solutions. Another area of research was the development of a self-care maintenance sensing system among post-stroke patients in the community. A self-care maintenance sensing system tailored for post-stroke patients in community settings. Such systems could assist in monitoring and improving the well-being of stroke survivors by providing real-time data and feedback on their health and self-care practices. These research endeavors showcase Syahrul Said’s dedication to contributing to healthcare innovation, patient well-being, and community health through a multidisciplinary approach. His work likely involves a combination of healthcare technology, behavioral interventions, and community-based strategies.
