The Nursing Science Study Program in 2016 carried out New Student Admission and Development (P2MB) with a slightly different color from previous years. In the P2MB series which was held for two days, there was one agenda where PSIK UH alumni, both those who had worked as nurses abroad or alumni who had the opportunity to continue their Masters/S3 education abroad, were given the opportunity to share experiences and motivation for students. new in the Unhas Nursing Science study program. The agenda, called Sharing with Alumni, was held on August 18, 2016 at the RKF Room, Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University.
In the Sharing With Alumni agenda, Nurhaya Nurdin, S.Kep., Ns., MN., MPH who is also a graduate from one of the universities in Australia acted as moderator. This agenda started by introducing the alumni who had attended, then continued with sharing experiences and then video calls with several alumni via Skype. The Alumni involved include: Ns. Some of the questions that arise are related to how to divide the time between studying and organizing, how to get good English skills, to tips on how to get the opportunity to go abroad.
Furthermore, Nurhaya Nurdin through her social media account admitted that this kind of activity is very inspiring and she believes that this activity is able to raise the spirit of motivation for prospective professional nurses who will take care of the Indonesian nation in the future. Not only that, a number of alumni who did not have time to attend gave extraordinary appreciation for the agenda of activities like this. One of them is Ns. Sri Nining, who revealed through his Facebook account, “It was really cool. Indeed, this is what is most needed as a family at the alma mater. Good luck to all of us nurses and PSIK UH alumni”.
