The Hasanuddin University Nursing Community Service Team has carried out Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) educational activities in Parang Village, Makassar City. This education was carried out on May 27 2023, at the house of the head of the Parang Village health cadre, Mrs. Nurdewi. There were a total of 30 housewives who participated in this activity.

The activity, chaired by Arnis Puspitha R., S.Kep., Ns., M.Kes, is a community service program as a form of the tridharma of higher education in society. This SEFT education includes the basic concepts of hypertension and SEFT therapy, taught directly by Kusrini Kadar, S.Kp., MN., Ph.D, one of the lecturers in the Nursing Study Program, Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University. The basic concept of hypertension material provided includes definitions, concepts of hypertension, ways to prevent and manage hypertension at home. It is hoped that providing this education can help partner communities understand more about hypertension, so they can prevent it.

Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) therapy is a type of therapy that is quite easy to do. This therapy aims to stabilize emotions, reduce anxiety, and prevent high blood pressure. This therapy can be done without drugs, and does not require complicated diagnostic procedures. This therapy is carried out by light tapping (tapping) on ​​18 key points along the 12 energies of the body. Research shows that the healing effect can be felt instantly (one Minute Wonder). In addition, this therapy can also be used to increase calm and equanimity.

It is hoped that the implementation of this activity in Parang Village can increase public knowledge regarding targets related to hypertension, as well as being able to carry out SEFT therapy to stabilize emotions and prevent hypertension.
