As part of a series of 67th anniversary celebrations, Hasanuddin University held a social service in the form of cleft lip and cleft palate surgery in Pangkep Regency. The activity took place on Sunday (20/08) at Batara Siang Regional Hospital, Pangkep Regency.
This activity is a form of collaboration with RSGM Unhas, where there are 5 registered pediatric patients from Pangkep Regency and Regency. Maros. This activity was attended by the Assistant for Government and People’s Welfare, Director of RSUD Batara Siang, Deputy Dean for Partnership, Research and Innovation F.KEP and FIB as well as the Oral Surgery Team and a number of RSUD Batara Siang Pangkep staff.
Assistant for Government and People’s Welfare (dr. Hj. Herlina, M.M) in his speech expressed his thanks to the 67th Unhas Anniversary committee who had chosen Kab. Pangkep is a forum for carrying out Community Service with the hope of maintaining friendship.
“We thank you for choosing Pangkep Regency as a service area, especially for this activity, which was last carried out in 2019. Hopefully this social service activity can run well and the community knows that this is not something that cannot be cured,” explained Dr. .Herlina
The Vice Dean for Partnership, Research and Innovation of FKep UH (Dr. Takdir Tahir, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep) also delivered several series of Unhas Anniversary events located in Pangkep. He said, apart from cleft lip surgery, there were also Professional KKN students who were placed in several sub-districts, a visit had also been carried out on Karanrang Island with 12 research teams on worms, parasites and malaria mosquitoes, and a Summit and Exhibition of community service results was held on Cambang-Cambang Island together with the University leadership at the end of August.
