A Focus Group Discussion (FGD) was held on Wednesday, October 22nd, at 8:00 a.m. WITA in the Senate Room of the Faculty of Nursing (F.Kep) to discuss the Strategy for Developing the MKPK Fulfillment Program for undergraduate students within the Faculty of Nursing. Speakers included the Director of Educational Transformation and Learning Innovation (Ir. Sahriyanti Saad, S.Hut., M.Sc., Ph.D.) and the Director of Education (Prof. Risma Illa Maulany, S.Hut., M.NatRest., Ph.D.).
The event was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Prof. Dr. Elly L. Sjattar, S.Kp., M.Kes., the Vice Deans, Heads of Study Programs, Student Affairs Advisors, and the Admin.
The event began with an introduction by the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Syahrul, S.Kep.,Ns.,M.Kes.,Ph.D., who stated that this activity was part of a policy initiative to fulfill the MKPK (Community Service Requirements) through the establishment of a community service grant program and internship program.
In her remarks, the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Prof. Dr. Elly L. Sjattar, expressed her appreciation for the implementation of the activity and expressed her support for the initiated program. “This activity provides a forum for discussion to formulate solutions to fulfill the MPKP program for students. Therefore, various activities such as community service programs and internships that can support the fulfillment of the MPKP are highly recommended, as they not only benefit students but also provide added value for lecturers,” she explained.
The two speakers provided several strategies and programs to fulfill the MKPK for students, leading the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University, to initiate the creation of programs for students that can support the MKPK and ensure its timely completion.
