The Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University, held a Paperpal-Based Manuscript Writing Workshop on Monday, October 27th, in the Faculty of Nursing Senate Room at 9:00 a.m. WITA. The workshop featured Prof. Ir. Andi Dirpan, STP., M.Si., PhD, as a resource person. The workshop was attended by lecturers and students from the Faculty of Nursing.
The event was officially opened by the Vice Dean for Partnerships, Research, Innovation, and Alumni, Dr. Takdir Tahir, S.Kep.,Ns.,M.Kes. In his remarks, he stated that this workshop was part of an effort to increase lecturer publications within the Faculty of Nursing. “With the publication target within the Faculty of Nursing, this activity is part of an effort to accelerate publication growth. Furthermore, this activity also serves as a stimulus for students to improve their publication skills, so that their ideas can develop into quality scientific manuscripts.”
The resource person, Prof. Ir. Andi Dirpan, STP., M.Si, PhD, a resource person, provided a detailed explanation of Paperpal, an artificial intelligence-based platform designed to assist authors in the preparation and editing of scientific manuscripts. Through this explanation, participants gained a deep understanding of how Paperpal can be used to improve the structure, grammar, and style of writing to meet international journal standards.
The resource person also highlighted various superior features available in Paperpal, such as real-time language check, plagiarism detection, and a journal recommendation system that can help authors select journals relevant to their research field. By utilizing these features, it is hoped that lecturers and students will be able to produce higher-quality, more competitive manuscripts with a higher chance of being published in reputable journals.
