Lecturers of the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University (Unhas) held community service activities in the form of education about Vaccination & Post-Immunization Adverse Events (KIPI) Covid-19 on Saturday, June 16, 2022.

This activity was carried out at the Batua Health Center in Makassar City, which was attended by 30 Health Cadres on duty throughout the working area of ​​the Batua Health Center Makassar.

The material presented is closely related to the Covid-19 Vaccine & KIPI. The presentation of the material was started by Abdul Majid, S.Kep, Ns, M.Kep. Sp.KMB, discussed “The Importance of Vaccination and Types of Covid-19 Vaccines”, then continued by Dr. Yuliana Syam, S.Kep, Ns., M.Kes discussed the Classification of AEFI.

Then the event was continued by Prof. Dr. Elly L. Sjattar, S.Kp., M.Kes on “Signs and Symptoms of KIPI”, specifically how to know the symptoms of mild and severe KIPI (anaphylactic shock). And the last event by Indra Gaffar, S.Kep, Ns, M.Kep brought about “What should be done if a KIPI reaction occurs after the vaccine”.

In addition to discussion and question and answer, games were also held in this activity by throwing questions at the participants with prizes for those who answered the questions correctly. Do not forget to determine the level of understanding of the participants, it also conducted a post-test at the end of the meeting.
