Hasanuddin University again confirmed 2 Professors from the Faculty of Nursing, Prof. Dr. Ariyanti Saleh, S.Kp., M.Si and Prof. Dr. Djohan Aras, S.Ft.,Physio.,M.Pd.,M.Kes. on Tuesday (18/07) at 09.00 WITA in the Senate Room, 2nd Floor of the Rectorate Building. This activity was attended by a number of Hasanuddin University Professors, Invited Guests, Deputy Deans of the Faculty of Nursing, a number of Lecturers, as well as the extended families of the two Professors of the Faculty of Nursing (18/07).

It began with the reading of the CVs of the two Professors of the Faculty of Nursing by the Deputy Dean for Academic and Student Affairs (Syahrul, S.Kep.,Ns.,M.Kes.,Ph.D) (18/07).

Prof. Dr. Ariyanti Saleh, S.Kp., M.Si delivered an inaugural speech in the field of psychiatric nursing, namely psychosocial-spiritual support, an important contribution of nursing in improving the quality of life of clients with catastrophic illnesses. In closing her speech she said that “nurses accompany clients in every phase of their catastrophic illness, in palliative conditions psycho-socio-spiritual support is needed to remain able to adapt to their conditions and will make the client’s quality of life better” explained Prof. Ariyanti (18/07).

The inaugural oration of Prof. Dr. Djohan Aras, S.Ft.,Physio.,M.Pd.,M.Kes. in Physiotherapy Science, namely the Role of Physiotherapy Education on the Quality of Physiotherapy Services through the Physiotherapy Technique method. In his oration he said that “Modification of Physiotherapy Technique Methods is very necessary and must be based on research through patients who come to the clinic,” explained Prof. Djohan (18/07).

Speeches and Orations delivered by 2 Professors of the Faculty of Nursing are very important for the community and of course play a very important role in their respective fields of knowledge, as well as a form of community service application.
