The Faculty of Nursing held the Caregiver Goes To Japan Webinar

F.Kep held an online Caregiver Goes To Japan Webinar via Zoom Meeting on Thursday, (25/01) at 09.00 WITA. The activity was attended by the Dean of F.Kep, WD 1 F.Kep and a number of students. The speakers in this activity were Andi Masyitha Irwan, S.Kep., Ns., MAN.Ph.D (Community, Family and Gerontics Lecturer) F.Kep and Kumazawa Kasuhide (Deputy HR Manager, Kaikoukai Healthcare).

Dean of F.Kep (Prof. Dr. Ariyanti Saleh, S.Kp., M.Si) in his speech “This activity is a follow-up to the collaboration between Unhas and Kaikoukai Heralthcare, this activity is an opportunity for you to develop your work ethic, discipline and professionalism as a caregiver or other profession,” he explained.

The material was presented by Andi Masyitha Irwan, S.Kep., Ns., MAN.Ph.D (Community, Family and Gerontics Lecturer) on the topic of the Elderly and Care Needs so that participants would understand more about Aging and Caregiver Needs in Japan. Then continued with an explanation regarding the registration flow and requirements to become a caregiver in Japan by Sri Bintari Rahayu, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep.

The aim of this activity is to help overcome the obstacles experienced by Japan, namely the large elderly population but they lack (human resources) Health Workers for elderly caregivers, however they must follow the previous Test and Training stages as determined.

Kumazawa Kasuhide (Deputy HR Manager, Kaikoukai Healthcare) said that “We really hope that with this activity, the Unhas Nursing Faculty can help resolve the obstacles we are currently experiencing in becoming Caregivers for the Elderly in Japan,” he explained.
The activity continued with a joint discussion session with Kaikoukai Healthcare Corporation, Japan, guided by Moderator Dr. Nuurhidayat Djafar, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep.
