F.Kep Unhas held a Workshop on the Preparation of Editorial Standards for the Indonesia Contemporary Nursing (ICON) Journal on Saturday, (24/05) at the Ibis Makassar Hotel, attended by the ICON Journal management team.
It began with the official opening by the Vice Dean for Research Partnerships and Innovation, Dr. Takdir Tahir, in his speech, he said “after the achievement of the ICON Journal being accredited by SINTA 2, we are optimistic that it will be accredited by SINTA 1 and Scopus next year, so today’s activity is one of the momentums for this achievement,” he said.
Followed by a brief briefing by Ners Saldy Yusuf as Chief Editor of the ICON Journal, explaining the achievement of high editorial standards. He emphasized the importance of consistency and quality in writing and editing scientific articles for the ICON Journal to maintain the credibility and reputation of the journal. The purpose of our work today is to produce operational standards so that we can improve the quality of the journal publication process.
This activity is a strategic step to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of the editorial standards preparation process. With clear and structured assignments, it is hoped that the process of preparing editorial standards can run smoothly and in a focused manner, resulting in comprehensive and quality guidelines.
