The Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University (F.Kep Unhas) held an awards ceremony for students and announced the winners of the 2025 Nursing Champ Competition. The event took place on Monday, December 8th, at the Prof. Mattulada Hall, Faculty of Humanities, Hasanuddin University, at 9:00 a.m. WITA.
The event was attended by the Director of Student Affairs, Abdullah Sanusi, SE. MBA., Ph.D.; the Dean, Prof. Dr. Elly L. Sjattar, S.Kp., M.Kes; the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs, Syahrul, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kes., Ph.D.; the Head of the Sub-Directorate for Student Achievement and Talent Development, Dr. Suhasman, S.Hut., M.Si.; and the F.Kep Unhas Achievement Working Group Team.
The Nursing Champ Competition is a competition organized by the F.Kep Unhas as a platform for students to compete on campus while honing their soft skills. This activity is expected to foster a competitive spirit in students, preparing them to participate and achieve at the national and international levels.
In line with this, the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University, also held the Student Achievement Awards as its inaugural event, recognizing students who have achieved success at the national and international levels. This event not only recognizes student contributions but also motivates all students to compete and continue developing their abilities and soft skills.
The event began with a report from the Chair of the Nursing Champ Committee and member of the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University Achievement Working Group, Ns. Aulia Insani Latif, S.Kep., M.Kep., who explained that a series of activities had been taking place from November to December, starting with the preparation stage, socialization, registration, and the selection and announcement process. The implementation of this event demonstrated the high enthusiasm of students in participating in the competition, as reflected in the diverse interest and participation in the various competition categories.
Dean Prof. Dr. Elly L. Sjattar, S.Kp., M.Kes., in her remarks, stated that “This activity encourages students to continue achieving, and also increases their competitiveness, preparing them for future competitions.” She explained.
The Director of Student Affairs, Abdullah Sanusi, SE. MBA., Ph.D., stated in his remarks that “participating in activities is crucial for improving competency and soft skills. Competitions also aim to build and shape positive personality traits.”
Through the implementation of the Nursing Champ Competition and Student Achievement Awards, the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University, reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the development of student potential, achievement, and character. This activity is expected to become an ongoing program that will produce competitive, high-achieving students who are ready to contribute actively at the national and international levels.
