The Medical-Surgical Nursing Specialist Study Program, Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University, held its Final Scientific Paper Examination (KIA) opening ceremony on Wednesday, January 21, in the Unhas GPM Room. The event, themed “Towards Competent, Adaptive, and Evidence-Based Specialist Nurses,” demonstrates its commitment to producing superior and professional specialist nurses. The SpKMB Study Program’s KIA Exam was attended by several faculty members: Ii Ismail, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep., Sp.KMB, a representative of the Cardiovascular Examining College (Harapan Kita Hospital, Jakarta); Iwan, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep., Sp.KMB, a representative of the Urology Examining College (Wahidin Sudirohusodo Hospital, Makassar); Muhammad Ardi, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep., Sp.KMB, a representative of the Neurology Examining College (Ministry of Health Polytechnic), as well as clinical supervisors and examiners from Hasanuddin University Hospital and Wahidin Sudirohusodo Hospital.
Four students took the SpKMB KIA Exam, specializing in Neurology, Urology/Nephrology, and Cardiovascular. This exam is a crucial academic milestone to measure students’ ability to integrate knowledge, clinical skills, and evidence-based approaches into specialty nursing practice. Through this Final Scientific Paper Examination, students are expected to demonstrate optimal academic and professional competency as prospective specialist nurses. This activity also demonstrates the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University’s commitment to maintaining educational quality and producing graduates who are prepared to contribute to the development of evidence-based nursing practice and the needs of healthcare services.
