The Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University, welcomed the LAMPTKes (Health and Family Welfare) Assessor Team for an accreditation visitation for the proposed opening of the Undergraduate Midwifery Study Program and the Midwifery Professional Education Study Program on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the Faculty of Nursing.
The visit was conducted by the LAMPTKes Assessor Team, consisting of Bdn. Emi Sutrisminah, S.Si.T., M.Keb., and Dr. Yuseva Sariati, S.ST., M.Keb. This activity was part of the field assessment process to verify and clarify the proposed study program opening documents and assess the institution’s readiness to provide midwifery education.
The event was attended by the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs of Hasanuddin University, Prof. Muhammad Ruslin, drg., M.Kes., Ph.D., Sp.B.M.Mf., Subsp.Ortognat.D.; the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Prof. Dr. Elly Lilianty Sjattar, S.Kp., M.Kes., the Vice Deans, the Head of the LPMPP Unhas, Prof. Dr. Ir. Musrizal Muin, M.Sc., the Head and Secretary of the Faculty of Nursing Quality Assurance Group, the Head of the Accreditation Management Division, Prof. Dr. Kasbawati, S.Si., M.Si., lecturers, educational staff, and stakeholders.
In his remarks, the Vice Rector for Academic and Student Affairs conveyed Hasanuddin University’s commitment to supporting the development of the midwifery profession through the opening of the Midwifery Study Program.
“The opening of the Midwifery Study Program demonstrates Unhas’ commitment to meeting stakeholder needs and supporting the development of a more professional midwifery profession. Going forward, we hope this study program will not only focus on learning but also drive research and innovation. It will not only become a teaching university but also develop into a research university that makes a real contribution to the advancement of science and public health services,” explained Prof. Ruslin.
The Dean of the Faculty of Nursing Unhas, Prof. Dr. Elly Lilianty Sjattar, S.Kp., M.Kes., also expressed her appreciation for the presence of the assessor team and hoped to receive various input and suggestions for the development of the proposed study program.
“We view this visit as an important opportunity to obtain direction, input, and recommendations from the assessors, as a basis for developing and improving the quality of the Midwifery Study Program and Midwifery Professional Education. We hope that this entire process will run smoothly and achieve the best results for the development of midwifery education at Unhas,” explained Prof. Elly.
Through this visit, the Unhas Faculty of Nursing hopes that the proposed opening of the Undergraduate Midwifery Study Program and the Midwifery Professional Education Study Program will achieve optimal results. This will allow for the program to be proposed and recommended for opening, and will serve as a strategic step in strengthening Unhas’ contribution to the development of education and healthcare services, particularly in the field of midwifery.
