Nursing Science students of F.Kep Unhas held the 2025 Student Village Development activity with the theme of Realization of Service in Increasing Awareness and Health of the Resilient Tompobulu Village Community. Located in Tompobulu Village, Tamalate District, Maros Regency, Saturday (04/26/2025), this activity is an implementation of Hasanuddin University’s community service program in supporting the Tri Dharma of PT. Also present were accompanying lecturers Akbar Harisa, S.Kep., Ns., PMNC., MN who also opened the event representing the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs of the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University, also Yery Mustari, S.Ft., Physio, M.ClinRehab., C.MTP and Aulia Insani Latif., S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep, Village Head Andi Asriadi Sirajuddin, Head of the Health Center Yuyun, S.Kep., Ns. The alumni as speakers are Raden Bagus Bimo Oktavianto, S.Kep for tuberculosis material, Muh.Yusuf for stunting material, Miko Prasetyo, S.Kep for sex education material.
The supervisor of the Himika F.Kep Unhas organization, Akbar, Harisa, S.Kep., Ns., PMNC., MN, in his speech said that this activity received full support from both the University and the Faculty. “We would like to thank the residents of Tompobulu Village for the warm welcome given,” said Akbar.
“We will conduct screening according to the data on residents’ health problems and will report it to the relevant parties for follow-up,” added Akbar. He also emphasized the importance of cooperation between the faculty, village government, health center, and local community in making this activity a success.
Furthermore, Akbar said that Fkep Unhas hopes that after the health check-up, it can make people aware of the importance of maintaining health, considering that tuberculosis is quite high in this area,” he explained.
This Village Development activity is a real manifestation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, especially in terms of community service. In addition to Tompobulu Village, F.Kep Unhas has also implemented similar programs in several other areas in previous years. “We would like to thank the committee who have prepared this activity very well, so that its implementation can run smoothly and hopefully provide benefits,” said the Head of the Health Center.
The Head of Tompobulu Village welcomed the presence of the implementing committee and hoped that this activity could provide real benefits for the local community. Meanwhile, the health center is ready to collaborate to follow up on health problems encountered during the activity. This Village Development Program is expected to increase public awareness and knowledge about health, as well as strengthen relations between universities and rural areas.
