[:en]The Faculty of Nursing (FKep) of Hasanuddin University held a public lecture entitled “Psychosocial impacts of Covid-19 and Their Implication in Nursing Education: Lesson Learned From United Arab Emirates”. This activity is a Diaspora Series 2 Webinar as part of the Hasanuddin University World Class University program.
The activity took place at 09.00 WITA virtually through the Zoom meeting application, Monday (06/09).
The public lecture presented Muhammad Arsyad Subu, Ph.D., RN from the Department of Nursing, College of Health Science, University of Sharjah – United Arab Emirates, Faculty of Health Sciences – University of Ottawa ON, Canada, as a speaker.
The Dean of the Unhas FKep Dr. Ariyanti Saleh, S.Kep., M.Sc., said that Fkep Unhas seeks to be involved in various activities, to support the achievement of World Class University. This activity aims to obtain and improve international accreditation as well as establish cooperation with foreign partnerships.
“FKep has collaborated with various overseas campus partners to facilitate students through international exposure programs and contribute to increasing international publications,” explained Dr. Ariyanti.
The public lecture was officially opened by the Vice-Chancellor for Research, Innovation and Partnership Unhas, Prof. dr. Moh. Nasrum Massi, Sp.MK, Ph.D. He expressed his gratitude for the collaboration through a series of Diaspora public lectures.
Prof. Nasrum hopes that this public lecture can continue in order to improve Unhas’ achievements as a World Class University.
“We hope that together, there will be more collaborations for research proposals to get international accreditation recognition, in order to improve the quality of Unhas education,” explained Prof. Nasrum.
The activity was then continued with a material presentation by Muhammad Arsyad Subu, Ph.D., RN. In his material, he discussed a person’s psychosocial development during the Covid-19 pandemic which caused an economic burden and the manifestation of financial losses at various levels of society.

When facing a pandemic, the changes that occur also affect the mental health of patients, medical personnel, and families. So that it is necessary to provide appropriate psychosocial intervention handling mental disorders experienced to assist the patient’s recovery. Psychosocial intervention can be done either individually or in groups.
The public lecture of the Unhas FKep went smoothly and was guided by Nur Fadillah, S.Kp., NS., MN., as a moderator and was attended by approximately 300 participants

Kuliah umum menghadirkan Muhammad Arsyad Subu, Ph.D., RN dari Departemen of Nursing, College of Health Science, University of Sharjah – United Arab Emirates, Faculty of Health Sciences – University of Ottawa ON, Canada, sebagai pemateri.
Dekan FKep Unhas Dr. Ariyanti Saleh, S.Kep., M.Si., menyampaikan bahwa Fkep Unhas berupaya terlibat dalam berbagai kegiatan, guna mendukung pencapaian World Class University. Kegiatan ini bertujuan memperoleh dan meningkatan akreditasi internasional serta menjalin kerja sama dengan kemitraan luar negeri.
“FKep telah menjalin kerja sama dengan berbagai mitra kampus luar negeri untuk memfasilitasi mahasiswa melalui program internasional exposure dan berkontribusi dalam peningkatan publikasi internasional,” jelas Dr. Ariyanti.
Kuliah umum secara resmi dibuka oleh, Wakil Rektor Bidang Riset, Inovasi dan Kemitraan Unhas, Prof. dr. Muh. Nasrum Massi, Sp.MK, Ph.D. Beliau menyampaikan ucapan terima kasih atas kolaborasi melalui kuliah umum Diaspora berseries.
Prof. Nasrum berharap kuliah umum ini bisa terus berlangsung dalam rangka meningkatkan capaian Unhas sebagai World Class University.
“Kita harap bersama, nantinya akan semakin banyak menghadirkan kolaborasi riset proposal untuk mendapatkan pengakuan akreditasi internasional, guna meningkatkan capain mutu pendidikan Unhas,” jelas Prof. Nasrum.
Kegiatan kemudian dilanjutkan dengan pemaparan materi oleh Muhammad Arsyad Subu, Ph.D., RN. Dalam materinya, membahas perkembangan psikososial seseorang selama masa pandemi Covid-19 yang menimbulkan beban ekonomi dan manifestasi kerugian finansial di berbagai lapisan masyarakat.
Saat menghadapi masa pandemi, perubahan yang terjadi juga mempengaruhi kesehatan mental bagi pasien, tenaga medis dan keluarga. Sehingga dibutuhkan pemberian penanganan intervensi psikososial yang sesuai dengan gangguan mental yang dialami untuk membantu pemulihan pasien. Intervensi psikososial dapat dilakukan baik perorangan maupun kelompok.
Kuliah umum FKep Unhas berlangsung lancar dengan dipandu oleh Nur Fadillah, S.Kp., NS., MN., selaku moderator dan diikuti oleh kurang lebih 300 peserta
