In order to reach the peak of the 67th Anniversary celebration, Hasanuddin University held a “Fun Walk and Family Gathering” as a gathering place for the academic community and alumni.
This activity began with a leisurely walk around the Unhas campus with the academic community and alumni which started at 06.30 WITA by taking the starting point from the JK Arena Sports Hall (GOR), Unhas Campus, Tamalanrea, Makassar, Saturday (2/9).
On this occasion, Chair of the 67th Unhas Anniversary Committee, Prof. Dr. Ariyanti Saleh, S.Kp., M.Sc., in his speech said that the implementation of the Fun Walk and Family Gathering was a momentum to increase friendship between the academic community and alumni and could strengthen Unhas’ commitment in its tagline “Unhasku is United, Unhasku is Strong”.
“It is hoped that through this series of Dies Natalis activities, it can be a major contribution to the development and achievement of better Unhas in the future,” explained Prof. Ariyanti.
On the same occasion, through his welcoming speech, the Chancellor of Unhas, Prof. JJ hopes that the academic community and alumni will continue to carry the good name of the alma mater wherever they are in developing their careers. So that Unhas can continue to be known for all its achievements and accomplishments.
“This is the best momentum to bring the academic community and alumni closer together, as well as how Unhas establishes and maintains cooperation with various strategic partners. “Thank you for all of our participation in enlivening the entire series of our anniversary events this year,” explained Prof. JJ.
After the speech, it was then continued with the symbolic cutting of the tumpeng to mark the inauguration of the Unhas Anniversary activities, as well as the handing over of certificates of appreciation to outstanding students.
This Fun Walk and Family Gathering was enlivened by 36 booths from faculties, partners, institutions and banking partners. (*/dhs)
