The Enhancement Healthy Aging (EAGING) Research Group in collaboration with the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University, successfully held an International Guest Lecture featuring Prof. Dr. Noor Azah Abd Aziz, Professor at the Faculty of Medicine, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. This event was held online via Zoom on Tuesday, (24/06) at 08.00
The activity was moderated by Aulia Insani Latif, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep., Lecturer at the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University, carrying the theme “Research Topics in Health Promotion.” This lecture was attended by undergraduate and postgraduate nursing students, teaching staff, and research nurses.
Andi Masyitha Irwan, RN, MAN, Ph.D., as the chair stated that “this activity aims to improve the knowledge and experience of nursing students, lecturers, and research nurses in conducting community nursing research, especially in the field of health promotion.” He emphasized that this public lecture serves as valuable educational material to support efforts to improve health outcomes through health promotion strategies.
Prof. Noor Azah shared valuable insights on current research areas in health promotion, highlighting the importance of preventive care, behavioral change, and community-based interventions. She also encouraged participants to pursue interdisciplinary research opportunities to address public health challenges at the local and global levels.
The event demonstrated the Faculty’s strong commitment to fostering international academic collaboration and advancing nursing education through research-based learning.
