Lecturer at the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University, held community service activities in the form of education on the prevention of diabetic foot injuries. This activity was carried out at the Internal Endocrine and Metabolic Polyclinic at Unhas Hospital, with participants reaching 53 diabetes mellitus patients and their families Monday, (07/08/2023).

The material presented is closely related to the prevention of diabetic foot injuries. The material presentation was started by Prof. Dr. Elly L. Sjattar, S.Kp., M.Kes, discussed the importance of Diabetic Foot Care to prevent foot injuries, while Saldy Yusuf, S.Kep., Ns., MHS., Ph.D, provided information about the method used can be done to assess the feet in diabetic patients or diabetic foot check-up.

Then the material was continued by Nurhaya Nurdin, S.Kep., Ns., MN., MPH about the importance of a proper diet in patients with diabetes which can be applied easily and affordably. Meanwhile, Andi Muhammad Fiqri MD, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep presented material on physical activity exercises that patients with diabetes can do while at home. The last session of the material was closed with questions and answers to patients about the material that had been given in order to find out the level of understanding of participants after community service was carried out

This activity was accommodated directly by the Lecturers of the Faculty of Nursing Unhas, including Dr. Yuliana Syam, S.Kep., Ns., M.Si, and Abdul Majid, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep., Sp.Kep.MB. as well as Master of Nursing Study Program Students Nur Ila, S.Kep., Ns. and Zulfahmi, S.Kep. Ns.

The success of this activity was due to the good cooperation of various parties including the Hasanuddin University Hospital, Community Service Team and Students of the Master of Nursing Program, Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University.
