GEN R 2026: Shaping Faithful, Smart, and Character-Driven Unhas Nursing Students 

Nursing science students from the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University, through the Special Board of Lingkar Studi Islam Ners (BK Lisan HIMIKA F.Kep Unhas), successfully held the Generasi Rabbani (GEN R) 2026 event. Carrying the theme “Growing in Faith, Smart in Mind, Real in Action,” the event was attended by 169 participants and committee members.

The series of events began with an opening ceremony at the IPTEKS Building, Hasanuddin University, on Friday (2/10/2026), and continued at Somba Opu Fort, Gowa Regency, on Saturday–Sunday (3–4/10/2026).

The event was officially opened by Akbar Harisa, S.Kep., Ns., PMNC., MN. In his remarks, he expressed his hope that all activities would run smoothly and serve as evaluation material to continuously improve the implementation of GEN R in coming years.

On the second day at Somba Opu Fort, the event was attended directly by the Head of the Nursing Science Study Program at F.Kep Unhas, Dr. Tuti Seniwati, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kes., alongside accompanying lecturers Akbar Harisa, S.Kep., Ns., PMNC., MN. and Nurlaila Fitriani, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep.

In her address, Dr. Tuti Seniwati delivered words of motivation to the new students while emphasizing the importance of establishing a medical team to monitor and safeguard the physical condition of participants throughout the event.

During the program, participants received various training and sessions, including:

  • Leadership & Personal Development Sessions: Introduction to BK Lisan HIMIKA, the leadership of Prophet Muhammad SAW, time and priority management, as well as the mental and spiritual health of Muslim students.
  • Religious Activities: Tahajjud (night prayer), Qur’an recitation, morning dhikr, memorization submissions, and murojaah (memorization review).
  • Interactive Activities: Group chant performances, creative video screenings, and team-building games.

Through this guidance program, GEN R 2026 is expected to serve as a platform for students to strengthen their faith, develop their mindset, and foster character grounded in Islamic values. Furthermore, this activity supports the achievement of SDG 4 (Quality Education) through Qur’anic recitation guidance (tahsin), selected verse memorization, and organizational orientation to enhance students’ knowledge and skills.
