International Nursing Seminar “The Front Line of Aged Care: Falls Prevention and Dementia Approaches”

F.Kep Unhas successfully held an International Nursing Seminar in collaboration with the Japan Asia Medical Nurse Association (JAMNA) with the theme The Front Line of Aged Care: Falls Prevention and Dementia Approaches which took place on Wednesday, (26/05) at the LPPM Unhas Hall at 07.30 WITA.

Attended by the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs (Syahrul, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kes., Ph.D), Head of the International Affairs Office (Andi Masyitha Irwan, S.Kep.Ns., MAN., Ph.D.), Secretary of JAMNA (Iwamoto), The speakers in the activity were Moriyama Yoshifumi and Kumazawa Kazuhide.

The Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs in his speech said that “this activity is an implementation of the collaboration between F.Kep, Kaikoukai and JAMNA, this is an opportunity for students to study in the field of nursing and physiotherapy related to the courses currently running this semester,” he explained.

This activity is an important momentum in strengthening international collaborative relations, as well as opening up opportunities for students to study more deeply in the field of nursing and physiotherapy more specifically. This seminar presents speakers from various domestic and foreign institutions, who discuss current topics related to nursing practice, health service innovation, and professional development of health workers.

The topics in this activity are Sports Therapy to Prevent Falls and Fractures in the Elderly presented by Moriyama Yoshifumi and Effective Communication Techniques for the Elderly with Dementia presented by Kumazawa Kazuhide accompanied by Moderator Rijal, S.Ft., Physio., M.Kes., M.Sc Lecturer in Physiotherapy
