The Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University, Strengthens its Internationalization Program Through Collaboration with the National University of Timor Leste

The Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University, Prof. Dr. Ariyanti Saleh, S.Kp., M.Si., accepted the invitation of the Education and Cultural Attaché of the Indonesian Embassy in Dili, Prof. Dr. Tasrifin Tahara, from October 1st to 3rd at the Indonesian Embassy in Dili. She was welcomed by the Indonesian Ambassador, Okto Dorinus Manik. The Dean’s visit was part of an effort to strengthen the internationalization program and explore opportunities for collaboration.
The Indonesian Ambassador to Timor Leste, Okto Dorinus Manik, warmly welcomed the Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University, who will sign an MoU and conduct an expert lecture. “This will certainly have a positive impact on the relationship between the two countries in the field of health education, particularly in nursing. We hope this will further enhance cooperation and contribute to improving nursing human resources in Timor Leste,” he explained.
As part of the visit, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Hasanuddin University, visited the Indonesian Cultural Center (PBI) at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, National University of Timor Leste (UNTL). He then met with the Indonesian Embassy, ​​the Indonesian Embassy’s Department of Health Services (DWP), and the Executive Director of the National Assessment/Accreditation Agency (ANAA), Nilton Diamamantino Paiva Mau.
The visit was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) between the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (UNTL) by Dean Prof. Dr. Lidia Gomes, SKM, MPH, and the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University. The two institutions agreed to establish collaboration in education and research to develop the health sector, particularly nursing, which will impact the quality of human resources and communities in both countries.
As a form of implementation of the collaboration between the two institutions, the Dean of F.Kep Unhas had the opportunity to deliver an Expert Lecture related to “Caring for all Clients with a Sense of Excellent at all Times” as a Visiting Professor agenda at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences UNTL which was attended by Students and Lecturers from Instituto Superion Cristal (ISC) and Instituto Ciencia da Saude (ICS) Dili. In addition, currently there are 6 Timor Leste Masters Students who are studying at F.Kep Unhas.
