Unhas Faculty of Nursing enlivened Unhas Open Day 2023

In order to attract prospective student applicants at Hasanuddin University, on Saturday (25/2) at the Unhas Hotel & Convention Ballroom, the Unhas Open Day was held for the first time by the Unhas Academic and Student Affairs Division. This activity successfully got the attention and visits from thousands of students from various high school equivalents in South Sulawesi. Apart from Makassar City, participants who attended also came from Takalar, Toraja, Gowa and Maros.

Starting the activity, Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs Prof. drg. Muhammad Ruslin, M.Kes., Ph.D., Sp.BM (K) expressed his pleasure at holding UOD for the first time in his speech. He said, in general, this activity was present with the aim of being a forum for information for prospective students who wish to continue their education at Unhas. Prof. Ruslin also said that students who will continue their education in college can visit the stands of each faculty at Unhas to ask questions directly in order to gain an in-depth understanding of prospective students.

The stand by the Unhas Faculty of Nursing was no exception, which was also attended by lecturers, educational staff, and students who helped visiting students to get to know more about the study programs at the Unhas Faculty of Nursing. Apart from getting information, the visitors to the FKep UH stand also had the opportunity to try the TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation) tool prepared by physiotherapy students. TENS is a modality of electrotherapy that can relieve pain by using a modified electric current to stimulate the nervous system. Visitors can also try a simulation of giving Basic Life Support with Mannequins prepared by Nursing students. In the entertainment program, FKep UH also presented BHD exercises which were performed by students from SIAGA Ners FKep UH members.
