Visit of Prof. Yoko Aihara, Okayama University, Japan

The Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University (F.Kep) once again welcomed Prof. Yoko Aihara from the Nursing Department, Faculty of Health Science, Okayama University, Japan, on Monday (October 20th). She was welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Elly L. Sjattar, S.Kp., M.Kes., accompanied by the Vice Deans and the Faculty of Nursing Internationalization Lecturer Team.
As part of the collaboration between the two institutions, Prof. Aihara also spoke at a guest lecture on “Health Promotion” on Wednesday (October 22nd) in the F.Kep KP Room. Currently, two students from Okayama University, Japan, are also participating in an inbound student program in the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University, as part of the academic collaboration between the two institutions.
During the event, Prof. Aihara shared her experiences and research findings related to public health promotion in Japan and opened an interactive discussion with students and faculty. This activity serves as an important platform for broadening academic horizons and strengthening student competencies in the field of global public health.
In addition, this visit also helped strengthen collaborative relations between the two institutions in developing joint programs, such as lecturer and student exchanges, research collaboration as a form of support in improving the quality of F.Kep.’s resources.
