Four alumni of the Faculty of Nursing at Hasanuddin University (F.Kep Unhas) successfully qualified for the International Nursing Development Program Scholarship (INDPS). The Dean of the Faculty of Nursing (Prof. Dr. Ariyanti Saleh, S.Kp., M.Si.) presented the alumni in the Dean’s Office on Wednesday (September 24) at 9:00 a.m. WITA.
This program provides opportunities for Indonesian nurses to develop their careers in Austria and serves as proof that Indonesian nursing graduates are capable of competing internationally.
The participation of Unhas alumni in the INDPS was made possible through a collaboration between the Faculty of Nursing at Hasanuddin University and PT. Binawan Group. PT. Binawan Group bridged the program with the Austrian institution, Hochschule Campus Wien, and provided access for alumni to participate in the selection process. The Faculty of Nursing at Hasanuddin University plays a role in supporting its alumni in taking advantage of this valuable opportunity.
The selection process for participants included a document review and an interview with PT. Binawan Group, followed by an interview with the Austrian institution. After completing these stages, four alumni were finally selected to participate in the program.
After being accepted, the alumni underwent German language training. The A1 training was completed online, and at the end of September, they began a preparatory program at the European LPK Binawan before officially beginning the in-person A2 training in early October. They are scheduled to depart for Austria in early 2026 to continue their B1 training in Vienna. While in Austria, they will work as Assistant Nurses while continuing their language studies to the B2 level, eventually advancing their careers to Registered Nurses.
The Faculty of Nursing at Hasanuddin University is committed to supporting students and alumni in achieving global-scale education and careers through academic development, skills development, and international collaboration. This support is expected to continue to pave the way for graduates to contribute not only nationally but also internationally.
