The Nursing Student Association of the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University (Himika F.Kep Unhas) held a Himika Dedication (Hi-Cation) event with the theme “Motivating the Spirit of Collective Service for Health Transformation in Butta Panrannuangku” on October 4-5 in Topejawa Village, Mangarabombang District, Takalar Regency.
The event was attended by the Village Head of Topejawa, Arman, S.IP (Daeng Siantang); supervising lecturer Akbar Harisa, S.Kep., Ns., PMNC., MN.; accompanying lecturer Abdul Majid, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep., Sp.Kep.MB.; alumni speakers Miko Prasetyo, S.Kep. and Syarlin, S.Kep.; the Head of the Mangarabombang Community Health Center and staff; and approximately 130 Topejawa Village residents.
The Village Head of Topejawa, Arman, S.IP. (Daeng Siantang) expressed his appreciation for this activity. “We hope that with this community service activity, the community can directly feel the benefits,” he explained.
In his remarks, Akbar Harisa expressed his hope that this activity would have a positive impact on the community. “We thank the residents of Topejawa Village for the warm welcome they have given us,” he said.
This activity is part of a community service program routinely carried out by the Himika F.Kep Unhas students, as a form of concern for the community. Furthermore, Himika F.Kep Unhas supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) program, point 3: Good Health and Well-being through public health education and services, and point 13: Climate Action through beach cleanups that emphasize coastal environmental preservation.
The Head of the Mangarabombang Community Health Center expressed his appreciation. “We, the community health center, highly appreciate this community service activity. This is exactly what we have been hoping for,” he said.
The Himika F.Kep Unhas students, through their community service, demonstrate their support for the Tri Dharma (Three Pillars of the Three … The university also demonstrates the quality of its students’ commitment to the community.
The series of activities included health education, free health checks involving residents and the Mangarabombang Community Health Center team, and material reinforcement by a team of lecturers. A beach cleanup program was held along the coast of Lamangkia Hamlet.
