The Physiotherapy Study Program, Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University held an International Webinar with the theme “Multidimensional Physiotherapy Perspectives On The Management Of Post-Covid-19 Syndrome”. The webinar will take place on Sunday (3/10) starting at 08.00 WITA which is virtually connected via the Zoom Meeting application.

This activity is a series of the 4th Anniversary of the Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University.

Present as speakers are:

  1. Parmono Dwi Putro S.Ft, M.M (Chairman of the Indonesian Physiotherapy Association),
  2. Nantinee Nualnim, Ph.D., PT (Mahidol University, Thailand),
  3. Dr. Adrian Christer Pranata, B. Physio, M. Physio, SpecCertTGR., APAM., (Swinburn University of Technology, Australia),
  4. Yulisna Mutia Sari, S.St, Ft, M.Sc, (G&R Stud), Ph.D (Cand.), (Monash University, Australia).

In her remarks at the opening ceremony, Vice Dean for Academic, Research and Innovation Rini Rachmawaty Ph.D., said that an international webinar was held to provide an overview and knowledge to all clinical practitioners and the academic community regarding proper physiotherapy management during the long Covid-19 period.

In handling it, Physiotherapy has the role of providing exercise, mobilization, and rehabilitation interventions for survivors of critical illnesses related to Covid-19 so that they can return to function functionally.

Furthermore, Rini explained that the global pandemic has become the center of attention of public health officials in various countries in the world. Physiotherapy plays a role in the management of hospitalized patients with confirmed or suspected Covid-19 to improve acute and chronic respiratory conditions and physical recovery after acute illness. Thus, physiotherapy can be useful in respiratory care and physical rehabilitation in Covid-19 patients.
