The Faculty of Nursing, Hasanuddin University (F.Kep Unhas) hosted the Binawan Team to promote a career opportunity program for professional nurses abroad on Friday (July 18th) in the F.Kep Senate Room at 9:30 a.m. WITA.
The event was attended by the Vice Dean for Partnerships, Research, Innovation, and Alumni (Dr. Takdir Tahir, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kes), along with the Binawan Team, and Nursing students.
The event began with remarks from the Vice Dean for Partnerships, Research, Innovation, and Alumni (Dr. Takdir Tahir, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kes), who stated that “This program is expected to provide opportunities for alumni to develop their careers abroad. Furthermore, it also strengthens the internationalization of the Faculty of Nursing at Hasanuddin University,” he explained.
This program, a synergy between the educational world and partner institutions like Binawan, is a strategic step in encouraging graduates to compete globally and supporting the faculty’s vision of sustainable internationalization.
The Binawan team presented various information regarding the need for healthcare workers abroad, the recruitment process, administrative requirements, and the training provided to prospective program participants. There was also a sharing session via Zoom with Binawan program alumni.
The nursing students in attendance demonstrated enthusiasm through an interactive question-and-answer session, which further discussed the opportunities, challenges, and support provided during the overseas work placement process.
