F.Kep Unhas students participated in a student exchange in Niigata – Japan which was held by Niigata University of Health and Welfare, Japan. This activity was titled International Outbound Student Exchange with Young People in Southeast Asia on September 2-7, 2024.
The number of students who participated in this activity was 3 people, 2 Nursing Undergraduate Students (Nurul Fahmi Bandang and Syifa Karina Aldawiyah) and 1 Nursing Masters Student (La Ode Muhammad Suyatno) also accompanied by the Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs of the Faculty of Nursing Unhas (Syahrul, S.Kep., Ns.M.Kes., Ph.D) who was also a facilitator in the activity.
The activity began with an introduction of the participants and was welcomed by the Chancellor of Niigata University of Health and Welfare, Masatoyo Nishizawa, MD, Ph.D. The Vice Dean for Academic and Student Affairs of F.Kep Unhas said, “Through this activity, F.Kep students get the opportunity to learn the latest innovations and technologies in health sciences and have internationalization experience so that they can have intercultural understanding and encourage the formation of networking.”

This activity is a form of Implementation of cooperation between F.Kep Unhas and Niigata University of Health and Welfare Japan, which was previously implemented in the form of Visiting Lecture and Joint Research then this time in the form of Student Exchange. This program was not only attended by Indonesian Students of F.Kep Unhas but also attended by Students from the University of Santo Tomas (UST), Philippines and Hai Duong Medical Technical University (HMTU), Vietnam.
